These are two possible majors I'm considering. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into them and what they entail? Also, how are the classes, in general? What type of job do you want to get with these majors after you graduate? Sorry for all the questions- I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do! Thanks :)

Students who take Religious Studies courses gain valuable critical thinking skills, as well as information and insight for a span of careers ranging from law and politics to medicine, social work, and even international business. As religion has come to be an increasingly critical factor for understanding the enormous diversity of the modern world, the importance of courses in religion for a great variety of careers has correspondingly increased.

Religious Studies majors in my program have gone on to graduate and professional schools at leading universities, mostly in fields within the humanities (philosophy, religious studies, history, art history), but also in fields as diverse as law, journalism, psychology, social work, and business management.

We do not offer a "youth ministry" major at my university, nor is one offered at any university I'm familiar with. I suspect that such a major is only available at religiously-affiliated colleges.

Best wishes to you!

clarify if religious studies is a course or is it a major in a certain course. if religious studies or youth ministry is a course offered by a religious school, it is up to the school registrar to come with the program on how to conduct this study. For possible jobs naturally as the word implies you will end up teaching a religion or be a minister or preacher

I didn't major in either but I know lots of people who did. Usually the religious studies majors want to be theologians and the youth ministry majors want to be youth pastors. A lot of times the ultimate goal of each is to be a pastor.
