Puerto Rico has been debating state hood for a long time now.
I don't know if I am for or against it. Right now they have the advantages of our government programs, but I don't believe they
have to contribute with taxes. It doesn't seem right. Either become a state or let them be on their own

Actually we might, over the past few decades Puerto Rico has had a vote to switch their status from commonwealth to state. It has nearly happened a few times already. It's a very good possibility in my mind that this could happen in the next 10-20 years.

If we do see 51, my bet would be Puerto Rico also. I am not expecting it anytime soon. Or maybe Canada, eh? That would swing the conservative demographics a bit, wouldn't it?

It would mess up our flag. How do you arrange 51 stars and not have it look stupid?
