You must have studied acting for a few years. You must be able to do various dialects, sing, dance and play an instrument are helpful.
You must live in a major city (Chicaho, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc.) city that has a lot of work for actors and models.
You have to get an agent that will represent you, but, you must have acting experience.
If you don't have acting experience, join the drama department at your school.
Call the community theaters in your city and ask if you can be a volunteer at the theater. That way you will see what it is like to be an actor.
If you can't find acting classes where you live, call the YWCA, sometimes they have acting classes.
If you want to be a professional actor, you have to belong to the actor unions.
Modeling is more difficult. You have to be unique/beautiful, tall and thin.
Watch the Janice Dickerson Modeling Agency television show, it's on the Oxygen channel.
I don't know what day it comes on your area. Where I live it is on Saturday's. That show will teach you what it is like in the REAL modeling business.
