Divorce should only be allowed if there is cheating and or physical or emotional abuse.

I don't treat it that way. I'm not sure why other people treat it that way. Maybe they don't realize that if they are unhappy it's not because of the person they are married to. Maybe they should look inside their self and choose to be happy.

You are so right about this... This is great that you hae asked this here. You are right people do not take marriage vows seriously anymore. They should be the only reasons for divorce and there is also a verse in the bible that says if the ubelieving spouse wants out a brother or sister is not under bondage any longer therin but that is only if you are a believer in the Lord and the un believing spouse leaves and is not pleased to dwell with you like abandonment! Love should be unselfish and unconditional love here. You sure have the right perspective and outlook on marriage and there should be more people like you out there. Great question!
People are so busy looking for someone to fill their selfish desires and instead of trying to change themselves they try to change their spouse or partner.... They need to change themselves to be the spouse they should be in the marriage and trust me the other person will see it and love you for it. Today love and committment and loyalty is becoming a thing of the past fast! Very Very Sad but God hates divorce and does not condone this at all... Remember everyone that we said our vows before God and if we choose not to honor them and we break them then we have God to answer to for it! If God is the center of the marriage it will mre then likely stay together... He needs to be our glue! Marriage is a sacred institution not to be taken lightly.

I couldn't of said it better myself. It's to bad that more people don't share your view. Marriage is sacred. It is nothing to take lightly. Unfortunately many people do and that's why the divorce rate is so high in this country. I love my husband more today than I did yesterday. That's the way it should be.
