I know Holly Beach, LA was, because we had a camp there before the storm. It's not a famous beach or anything (so you didn't miss much if you didn't know about it), but it was unbelievable to see what Rita did to it. No buildings were left standing. Roads and foundations were washed out all over the town. Also, lots of debris was washed inland for great distances, maybe miles. Grass and debris was also hung in the power lines which didn't get knocked over by the storm, which were few and far between for many miles away from the shore. I'm thankful we didn't live there, or else we would be homeless now.
