Normal people being those who don't have stufff like that, and dress conservativly because they like it. I especially apreciate answeres from "freaks" and am sorry if that word offends you. It kinda does me, but it's an easy one to use. How many people who own tattoo shops would refuse to hire an excellent tattoo artist who looked normal? this is for the people who are actually own tattoo shops, or for people who work in them. NOt people who have never been in them and are making assumptions.

I really wasn't trying to sound judgmental. Again, I'm sorry about those who were offended by the freak thing. People call me a freak all the time. Notice how I have blue hair in my pic? I'm not one most would call normal. And I don't look down on people that look "normal" untill they start giving me **** for looking like how I want to look, how I think looks good. Odd looks are a fun side effect sometimes, but only because I have gotten uste to them over the decades. I uste to hate those looks, but I'm not one to let rude people stop me from wearing the clothes that I like, and get me to wear the ones that I dispise and feel stupid in. And feels degrading to wear.

Ok so as a freak, I don't care if anyone has piercings or tattoos, I'm not heavily tatted, but most of my friends are and they could care less, its a personal choice. Also I know you don't want people who don't work In a shop to answer, but I hang out in them all the time, and alot of my friends are tattoo artists/ piercers. some of the tattoo artists I know don't even have visible tattoos so they could be non inked and the owner would never know, As long as you're a good artist It wouldnt be an issue. The only reason they might not like it is because when customers come in they might not trust getting tattooed by someone who doesnt have any tattoos. But really not that big of a deal

What do you mean by Normal? More people have tatoos and peircings than you think. Getting a job in a tatoo parlor isn't like working for Walmart. There are not that many of them, so why ask a question so limited in scope? I'd say the 'normal' looking guy wouldn't get the job because he appears to be a phoney.

The wording...Freaks vs Normal people....I don't know what world you live in, but my world is full of all kinds of people who are absolutely worth getting to know and be friends with!! We none of us look the same, we all have preferences about how we dress, whether or not to get a tat...what difference does it make? I guess too many people judge by looks, and they are missing out on so many wonderful people by doing that. I have many many friends with tats and piercings that do NOT look down on anyone...I also have friends with no tats or piercings...all of them are as accepting of each other as if they were all blind and couldn't see.

I think its perfectly reasonable to seperate the work place like that. A person with tatoos and percings can't get jobs in "Normal" places often due to dress codes, why shouldn't it apply in reverse?

As for myself I don't have any Tattoo's or peircings because...I want to work as a teacher, and you can't have that sort of thing if you want to be around children. If I ever did get a tattoo it would be a barcode at the base of my neck.

Who is actually normal? I see everyone the same....some just lack manners, common sense, smarts, etc etc.. If they think I'm a freak because of my tats and peircings oh well.. I choose to ignore them. I'm not gonna loose any sleep over it.
And someone to NOT hire u due to the fact u don't have a tat instead of ur artistic ability..screw them....it's their lost. I rather be tatted with someone with talent then someone who is covered by SOMEONE else's artwork and do a crappy tat on me....I'm sorry u didn't get hired....wish I could help u out.

From one freak to a normal person....we're cool :)

I just added a new tattoo last week to my many others, $1000.00 worth its my life and i dont care if you or anybody doesn't like it, also i have piercings, you see people with tatts dont care if you dont have them so why worry about seeing us freaks when we are all individuals on our own. Look in the mirror at your self totally naked, what you see is you, judgment of calling us freaks shows how shallow people can be, broaden your horizons

Normal is a matter of perception. I have one tattoo of my family crest on my right upper-arm and I would hardly consider myself a "freak." My wife has two piercings-her nose and tongue, but she is hardly a "freak" in the sense that you are using it. I will say, to answer your question about if we look down on "normal" people or not: The answer is yes, we look down on up-tight, prudes who think the world will fall down around them if they get outside of their narrow little box that they force themselves to live in. Also, no we don't look down on everybody who doesn't have tattoos or piercings, just prudes and uptight mama's boys and mama's girls who won't allow themselves to live or experience anything because of the fear that they might not actually be considered "normal" by the people who they choose to surround themselves with. I feel sorry for people like you, you'll wake up one day when you're old and gray and realize that you haven't truly lived one single day out of your entire life.

a lot of people with tattoos and peircings that I know like to look down on people that dont have them and call them conformists or whatever. diss 'em as if they were the saviours of individuality.

however, both my roomates have some pretty interesting tattoos and piercings and they just get them because it's fun or facinating and dont give a damn what other people think or have, so they don't look down on people without them (like me).

No we dont, but we assume some look down on us or feel intimidated by us. some of them I may look down on, but not cuz they havent any tatts or piercings, but cuz they seem totally unrelatable to me & cant even look at me in d eyes 4 more than 2 secs when exchanging words with me. but in general, I just dont give a crap. I don`t go around thinkin` about it or feeling that am better just cuz of tatts, etc. ur talents & qualities like being able to co-exist with other ppl is what counts. not how u look.
