You have to have a definitive schedule. Do the living room on Monday, bathrooms on Tues, etc. School is from 8 til 12, etc. You have to SCHEDULE time for you as well.

I'm a stay at home Mom of two as well, and I fully understand what you're saying. One thing that I've learned to do is to just let it go, there's days when I take me time. I don't do the dishes, I don't do the laundry, I take care of the kids, cook dinner, and that's about it. When my husband comes home, we eat, and I just leave for awhile. It give him a chance to spend quality time with the kids without me being around, and it gives me a chance to spend time with my friends.
I've also found that I an accomplish more in the late evenings while everyone is in bed (or at least the kids) than during the day. I don't think it's possible to always be on top of everything without overdoing it.

Wow, when you find out, let me know!!! I don't even try to keep up with the housework-and as far as cooking goes, my husband enjoys it more than I. The best thing you can do is spend time with your kids-that's going to matter more than a spotless house. I commend your goals and desire to do it all though!
Maybe you have a friend that enjoys cleaning or babysitting and would do yours in exchange for something you can do for her?
That way you could have time for your studying, relaxing, etc. Maybe there's a daycare that you can pay for a few hours, so you can do stuff.
There's also flylady.com or net, a website with neat ideas for cleaning the house a bit at a time.

I work part time and take care of house ,cooking, teenagers, and husband.I sometimes do laundry at night.I also set an alarm and get up and get things done.I relax in the morning outside with a cup of coffee.I also make lists of what has to be done and cross them off when I'm done.I am not an organised person and would rather lay around all day but i've resigned myself to the fact that things have to be done.

Get as many folks (i.e. husband, mother, friend) to help you do a "Spring Cleaning" then it would be easier to keep up with it as long as you do daily chores. Get your children to help whenever possible.
When cooking, you can often premake dinners or make several meals in one day to free up cooking time though-out the week.
Once you get all that done and develop a habit, you should hopefully have time to do extras such as home schooling and job training.
Best wishes - your fellow housewife in the same boat!

well i'll just tell you that my mom does that with me and my brother. it's not like she has all the time in the world to do anything she wants but i have some advice for you. first of all it matters how old your children are. if they are old enough then they could help around the house. and you have to relax before you explode with work bc if you work non stop then you will eventually get too tired to do anything. so space it out just a little bit. i hope i helped. i'm only like 13 so yeah! lol.

Get cloned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You may need like 5 one to cook one to clean two to take care of each child.one to go shopping for you. Then that just leaves you to take care of your husband. What do you think. Or you can make a planer. Do time everything at the same time everyday. Like clean while the kids and your husbent is gone and then cook just before your hubby comes home how ever it works for you.

Try precooking meals to save time on cooking and try and create a schedule to balance your day. Plan on what you have to do and what youd like to do. You need to get into a routine that fits you and if its hard now you may need to think about not adding too much onto whats on your plate or you wont be able to do it all and you might feel frustrated and overwhelmed. You need to have balance and if you add too much you will lose that balance and it will be harder to maintain everything.

My best advice is to spend much time as possible with your kids. Housework will always be there but your kids will grow up and move on. When it comes to cooking have your kids help. Its a great way to spend quality time together.

You need a routine. Schedule each day with something to do, like Monday wash day, Tuesday food shopping, Wednesday cleaning and so on.
