i would say a little indie movie called thumbsucker, or the movie garden state. both aren't overly-ejaculated on by general society , resulting in less action-phrases-per-minute on the subway that get tiring by third time of use (NAPOLEON DYNAMITE) cough.

thumbsucker- is a movie about a kid who constantly sucks his thumb at 17, andvisits a weird neo-hippie dentist (Keanu Reeves) and is subliminally subjected into ditching the habit. After ditching the thumb-sucking habit his life becomes a whirlwind of addictions (such as pot, speech and Mormonism) and eventually he never realizes that what he was looking for was right next to him-his comfort.
why its good- not like every other movie with a happy-go-fuzzy ending, it leaves you thinking, and sympathizing with Lou Pucci's character.

Garden State- movie about New Jersey gone Californian actor returned home to visit his mother's funeral, leaves the anti-anger and anti-depressive medications he's been on since age 8 at home in California.
Why its good- Zach Braff's quirky sense of humour adds fun to the whole thing, while not allowing it to fall under any specific genre of "self-discovery" mucho good.

so that's my opinion.
I am completely passive BUT. brokeback mountain sucked, it didn't "push the envelope" the media simply overblew it to make a story on a rainy day, it was one of the most boring movies i have ever seen, and it only won awards because society is afraid to piss anyone else off.

I would have to say that I liked the one about the flight that crashed in Pa on 9/11. It was based on as much information that came from flight recorder, phone calls and eye witnesses. The movie was excelent and the people of that flight are forever HEROS.

Because the action sequences are great, it's loaded with action, there's never a dull moment, and it leaves me wanting to watch it again and again.
