We are hated so much because we are always meddling in the affairs of other countries regardless of what the situation is. We usually never let other countries handle their problems on their own. We help others but we are kinda forced to being one of the strongest countries and such. It's an obligation. The US believes that every country should be just like us (democracy) so we declare war and try and build a democracy even though when you look at the facts, the US hasn't been successful in forming a demoracy that lasted since the US became a country. Also, there are very few people like you who care. Honestly, a lot of Americans are ignorant and take all of our freedoms and liberties for granted because they are never challenged.

A way to look at it is they see you as rich even if you are having trouble paying your bills they are having trouble just eating and don't have any bills. Can't find a job and have no idea of where they will get even a bean to feed their kids. So you are like a millionaire compaired to them. I can understand this, Plus normally the ones that complain the loudest are the ones who are in it for what they can get. It would not bother them a bit if you was hungary and they had all your money. You could bet they would never help you. So don't worry about it.
Now we do get involved in wars that are none of our business and even start a lot of them. What they are trying to tell us is BUTTout. If you was to get involved in a fight of two brothers and you smacked the bigger brother to get him off the little brother both would jump on you. The bigger on because you smacked him and the little brother because you smacked one of his family members. People like to fight their own battles and don't want a a self proclaimed cop like the USA jumping in so something that is none of our business.
But what if we did not get invloved? So I see both sides. It is called the way of life.
Wait till the space ships start showing up. We will all bond together then because we of this world are all family and we do not want any self proclaimed space cops telling us how to live our lifes.
Think about the big picture for a minute and then forget about it and just do your part.

This is a complex issue. We are hated because of many things that our government does in our name which we have no idea how horribly it impacts people. NAFTA decimated small businesses and farmers in Mexico by allowing us to come in and sell corn and produce at way cheaper prices undercutting and bankrupting people.
We interfere in the politics of countries to promote our business interests. We cut backroom deals with people who are supposedly our "enemies" until we need something from them. We sell arms to rebels to help overthrow governments who get in our way. When I say "we" I mean our government. People in the world don't separate us from our government, much like we view "North Korea" as our enemy and we have not one iota of knowledge about what those people are really like, now do we, other than the news we're fed?
People are the same all over the world - they judge one another by what country they're from, what faith or culture they are. Look at how many Americans hate Muslims now and blame all middle easterners for 911. Even Americans who are born citizens but happen to be of middle-eastern descent are hated and mistreated in this country.
Yes America does a lot of good, but there are some valid reasons why we are hated in other parts of the world. We are a rich nation who barely takes care of its own poor yet we make a big show out of giving to the needy all over the world. Charity begins at home. There's no way a country as rich as ours should have so many people out of work and without health care.

You are a wonderful caring giving woman who deserves to be thanked for your sacrificial giving. I thank you on behalf of the millions who have benefited from America's generous coffers and private donations. Realistically, a thank you implies closure wouldn't you say? When Nigeria says to us Thanks for the aide we are hearing "we are better now. Give money to Gambia instead." What nation would do that? but rather the "squeaky wheel" right? So the needs pour in like they never reived a thing worthwhile which is the nature of a fallen world and we only give to "strategic nations" for which we have an interest financially. So they know we have been cashing in on their copper or raw resources and "we owe them" so no thanks will ever follow sadly. Should we stop giving? ask your heart what does AAALL this have to do with a dried up nursing mother who has no clean water or food. . . did you pick the right answer? . . .good. Google to find the best resource of support and give according o your heart. God bless you and thousands of people just like you.

The reason is because we Americans don't really respect those other countries. We go there and expect to be treated well without taking the time to culture ourselves to fit in to those other countries. Then when someone from another country visits here all we can say is go home if you don't speak our language. That is one small example. As to you helping that's great but when you give, you shouldn't always expect something in return. Even a thank you counts as something.

Because we don't express dominance over those who are weaker and inferior than us. There is a pecking order in human societies. Whenever the order is in doubt there is violence and conflict until the matter is cleared up. Americans are extremely powerful but refuse to put others in their place. This makes them naturally want to challenge the pecking order but they can't. They feel like they are being cheated of their rightful place above us. It's a mixed message that is causing alot of problems in the world.
For example, we had full support when we went to go kick *** in afghanistan. When they thought we were going to slaughter wholesale the people foolish enough to attack us, everyone loved us (and those that didn't love us were so afraid and shaking in their boots that they didn't dare say so).
However, when we started to show signs of weakness. When we rebuilt afghanistan and tried to make the people there like us. When we reframed the people there as victims, rather than the enemy, people turned against us. We didn't act righteous and people assumed that, since we didn't behave righteous that the conflict must have been illegitimate (others in the pecking order aren't just weak....they are stupid).
Liberalism is source of the problem, btw.

i dont even know wheret to start. when the major earthquake happened in asia last year, america was the slowest to react, and gave the least amount of all developed countries. in fact some third world countries managed to donate more than the U.S.
our policies regarding war have been often unjustified acts of terror and attrocity that leave millions of innocents dead. many people in the world are not to happy with this and dont want to be the next iraq.
having travelled in asia as an american, i can tell you that the world does not neccesarily equate the average american with our president, and this includes the muslim people i met. thanks to the gods for this, or we could all be in a lot of trouble

Ok ok guys I am australian, and I can tell you why. Mostly when we see americans here they are very loud and bossy. They seem to be quite arrogant and give off the impression that they are better than everyone. I lived in Japan as well and sometimes if I got mistaken for an american people would be very nasty, because they don't like the way americans take advantage of their quiet nature. It wasn't until I told them I was Australian that people were nice to me. You guys just don't seem down to earth - younger ppl are ok, but it's older ones, 30+ that seem to be up themselves.

well think about it: people wouldn't hate the american government for no reason. obviously we have caused a lot of harm. not saying that we don't do some good things like charity, but even that is often done for political reasons. just look at basic stats, like how much energy we consume compared to the rest of the world, how much meat/grains we use up compared to everyone else, how much pollution we expend. it's ridiculously more than even other affluent countries. not to mention the iraq war. i love my country, but part of being in a democracy is recognizing errors in your govt so you can improve it. personally i think the rest of the world is often right to criticize.

There's so much thing besides hunger, there's HATE, and that's the main reason for war. I'm sure there's a lot of good people but unfortunately there are haters among you.... and any other places in the world.
