several reasons:

first, we try to control everyone else. since day one, we have been determined to have it our way. the whole reason we broke away from england was to become a soverign power. since then, we've tried to tell everyone else that we've got it right and that they should follow our lead. this is not only disrespectful, but goes against everything that america supposedly stands for. we're supposed to be "the land of the free" and yet we go and tell everyone else that they'll be nothing unless they become a democratic state as well. also, americans tend to be incrediably selfcentered. it is about us all the time. many of us don't even pay attention to what's going on in our world. americans have the tendancy to expect things to be rosy all the time (an idea that's perpetuated by the media) and have a fit when it is not. other countries who expect life to be hard see us as spoiled, uninformed, and shallow. and less face it, most of us are. we are taught at a very young age that america is the best country in the world and that we can do no wrong, when in fact, we do many things wrong and just pretend like they never happened. americans have the habit of disrespecting people of other countries in turn, giving us a not so positive reputation.

Because at the end of the day they see amcerian politics has being two faced. (Not the people mind you). They will go to war saying it is for the better good that that leader is out of the way, then they compain when a leader is elected under deomacy (sp) that they don't like they refuse to acknowledge that states choice.

They will not agree to deals that put them on an equal disadvange with other counties, ie the world wide human rights court of law, land mine treaties, breaking of some nuclear weapons treaties, and the enviroment.

They are meant to be the guardians of human rights but they still have the death pently, they are still holding prisoners in (sp) that Cubian bay without trial, they have lied to European counties saying that do not transport through European airports. They say free trade could be for every one yet they impose trade bans on several counties they dislike.

They say they are the world police but they seem to try and sweep war there crimes under the carpet though private unopen trails.

Although the USA has help aid some counties in there need it has come across due to pressure from its public or that they wanted something in return for this.

And lastly the world thinks your Pres. is the worst one you have either had.

But hey I don't mind you becoming the world police has long as I can have a vote for who becomes your Pres.

Yes we do Lancelot. I don't dislike the American people that I have met, it's your foriegn policy that annoys me.

You are very partisan in your approach to the rest of the world, sticking your nose in wherever there is a strategic benefit for you while calling yourself the world's policemen. If you were a policeman, you would be a corrupt one.

Even you allies you mistreat. Your economic demands on other countries like unsubsidised farm produce are not applied in your country, that would be hypocracy.

You have an imperialist mindset. You wish to control the world and invade other countries with a legitimate governmant just because they are different from your own.

I reiterate that it is not the american people I dislike, but I think the nett moral standard of the world would rise considerably if all the members of your government suddenly expired.

The entire world does not dislike us, true some countries hate us and think our democracy is a disgrace, but those countries are also the countries whose leaders are terrorists or who we as a country have screwed over in the past, some may envy us because were looked upon as the most powerful country but they all don't dislike us for that reason. We do put our country into other countries affairs, we have for centuries, Im not saying its right because its not but its never going to change. Those countries that dislike us, I say so what, more power to them, they can dislike, hate and disregard us as a country for all i care!

It makes me laugh like some idiots write "they do not". Hell yeah they do! They hate people who think they are being envy by the rest of the planet because of their freedom and their democracy. But yet spy on their people, control information via media cartel (only 6, yes 6, groups control the entire medias in the USA), and train terrorists abroad to fight dirty wars and feel surprise they turn against them. Ask Soudan if they were happy when they got a pharmaceutical plant bombed by the US during the 90's? Then US could sell them high priced drugs....

If you lived in a town where 90% of the people were always hungry and cold and ill-clothed, where another 9.9999% of the people had enough to eat and could stay warm and dressed, and the remaining .0001% of the people had more food than they could possibly swallow so they threw a lot of it away and they had 2 houses which were heated and cooled whenever they wanted them to be and they had more clothes than they could possibly wear in their life-times, don't you think that most people would hate that wealthy group? They would envy them their riches, but they'd also be angry because the rich ones wouldn't share with them. That's how most developing countries see us. But the truth is, most Americans don't think about other countries or their peoples. We just blissfully go around buying yet another pair of shoes and throwing out that left-over pizza.

If everyone dislikes America so much, why do they always want to come here. I think that everyone likes America, and a few wierdos don't.

Most countries hate America and most people hate America, but not every last person. This whole Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran war doesn't help. Our so called "leader" is questionable also. Not only by us Americans but by every country.
