The University of Edinburgh has my program and has a good reputation. If I complete another M.A. with them, what articulation issues exist when applying for Ph.D. programs in the USA? I suspect it would be viewed as a bonus, but can't really find any concrete information on the issue. Professor X, if you're reading this, I would welcome any advice you have to impart.

Also, any American students who have gone through this process, particularly in Archaeology, I would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

I have done the same in a way, Britsh degree from Edinburgh and applied for a US government job. I had to prove some kind of equivalence with a US university or get my degree accredited by an independent source. The second option costs around $150. I got a nice professor from the university of california to write a letter for me (they have an office in edinburgh) explaining that courses from edinburgh were interchangeable with those from california. I suspect that this is just because it's a govt job. Any questions please contact me

I don't think there would be any real articulation issues, because you say the sounds the same. There may be some accent issues. Contact someone who practices speech and language for more information.
