I tried this, worked good for me,
If you see a red light 1/2 a mile ahead and the road is empty, put the card in Neutral and let it run Free ( DON'T EVR TURN OFF THE ENGINE, YOU LOSE BRAKES ELSE). so by time you reach there the signal will be green and you save energy to accelerate car from rest.

Basic principle : use less brake. Take foot off the gas pedal when not needed , conserve car's kinetic energy.

Try putting one of those atomizers on your fuel line. It improves fuel quality for very little money, and I hear they work fine from some people that have them. they are small and just screw an anywhere on your line. Make fuel burn better and more efficiently.
