Hmmm, could be a trick question by someone promoting a specific religious formula response.

We have the Navajo answer, the Assyrian answer, the Hebrew answer, the Nordic answer, the Viking answer, and some pretty nifty variaitions from Japan and Micronesia. I can look up several others from Africa.

Those, of course, are all part of the religious and cultural perspective, and some are not currently considered acceptable replies.

Currsnt sceintific treatments generally posit a gradual development of humanity over a period of many millions of years, emerging out of a series of "branches" of the human family tree. If you want to get more detailed, some speculate we started with fish that developed legs and crawled up out of the water.

Now, if you are asking about embryology, there are some NEAT treatments of that you can find on the web.

Otherwise, would you please post a more specific version of your question?

Nobody really knows. We would have come from the first land animals that migrated from the oceans about 400 million years ago. Most land animals fall under the category of tetrapods, which have four limbs that end with at most five fingers on each. No such fossil records have been found from that era. Our lineage apparently came from such creatures that began to inhabit land and throughout the eons it never broke and never went extinct and here we are. The details seem to be unknown, however.
