I choose to shop at Wal-mart a lot of the time. I don't have an unlimited amount of funds, I make do with what I have. I must agree with you, their clothing as cheaply made but it is no more cheaply made then Maurices or JC Penney's. I have actually found clothing at Wal-mart that is almost identical to some at Maurices, is cheaper, and of better quality then Maurices. I own a lot of clothing from Wal-mart because I can afford it and from necessity. There is only one other clothing store in my town and it's prices are way above my funds. Wal-mart does have some clothing that is tacky but so do almost all other clothing stores out there. I do not think I have been in a single store that did not have at least one item of tacky clothing or accessories. I have a lot of cute clothes that I have bought from Wal-mart and probably will not stop shopping there any time in the near future. I must say in spite of all this Wal-mart is not my favorite place to shop. I prefer shopping at Goodies and Maurices.

I've bought clothes at Wal Mart before. I've got a great job, but I have to travel a lot. Sometimes I'll get places and have forgotten a shirt or a tie and have no idea where the closest Men's clothing store is. I know that Wallyworld has a Men's department where I can find something to get me through the next meeting that's planned for 45 mintues after you realize you left your tie in the last state. The strangest thing is that I've actually gotten compliments on those same exact ties, I just laugh inside when it happens.

Well, given a choice of cheaper foodstuffs I would shop elsewhere. However, I live in a small town and the best place to get food is Wal-Mart (price-wise). Now for clothing, I usually order from a catalog, but I do buy clothes for yard work or working out because they are cheap. I'm not a fashionista of the yard work world!

Some department stores have so many different name brands so people of all incomes can shop there. Wal Mart, Value City, Meijer, SteinMart to name a few. There should be more stores out there that sell affordable clothing for EVERYONE.

Actually yes people choose to shop at wal-mart. Some people are obviously not as fortunate as you may be when it comes to money, or maybe they have better things to do with there money. Whatever it may be , it is there choice and freedom to do so. So live your life and let the Wal-mart shoppers live theres!!

I actually CHOOSE to shop at Wal-Mart. As a female, I think they have some really cute clothes and I have also found that their prices are comparable to places like Old Navy (another of my fav. stores). If you're a man though, I can understand why you don't like their clothes. It doesn't seem that their men's clothing is as "up to par" as the women's.

Come on now, not everyone can live off their parents trust fund or shop high end retail! Working class folks (and just people looking for a bargain) go to Walmart. They generally offer lower prices on things like electronics or the stuff you'd buy anywhere else (like food or other nic nacs). Clothes are a neccessity and they offer the best quality for the price. They succeed so well because they attempt to offer one stop shopping, something the grocers find hard to compete with. So politics aside, people on a budget (and that's most of us) support Walmart (whether we like it or not).

I try not to shop there if I can, many of the stores in my area are patronized by "gangsta" wannabes who use the lack of security to run amok, inside and outside of the store. The stores are also way too crowded during the times I have to get stuff, I prefer malls, where you get separate stores for your goods. Most folks also don't use the cart racks provided. I've seen people push a cartload of stuff to their Mercedes, and scoot it off to someone else's spot, or an aforementioned "gangsta" just push it into the lot. :( ...There is also the factor of employee compensation packages...been some bad press about that.

I do buy some clothes from Walmart to modify it just because I make lots of mistakes and I'd rather not mess something expensive up. I make really cute clothes though, I constantly get compliments. My closet is filled with a variety. Some modified Walmart or other cheapie store stuff and then theres the stuff I get off ebay/malls/catalogs, and then the good stuff, my designer stuff [betsey johnson being my favorite].

That is extremely rude and tacky! If you believe in the lord you need to pray for yourself! If you don't then I will be sure to pray for you myself! There is this one girl who acts like you and not too many people like her, but she doesn't even know it! Maybe you should take a look at yourself and see if your friends are true friends. DO people even like you? Some people are forced to wear those clothes because lack of money and some even choose to shop cheap and give their money to other people like those poor kids in the world who don't even have a crust of bread to eat!PLease save yourself the embarrassment and think before you speak!
