I am registered as a Republican, but hold many Democratic ideals as well... I guess I would call myself a liberal Republican, or maybe a conservative Democrat. I am not in favor of banning guns but agree that some should be banned. I believe we should drill in Anwar, but only because evidence shows that the caribou love those dang pipelines and get along fine with them (i was surprised by that, too -- they enjoy the warmth, look it up),
otherwise, maybe not. I believe we should support the President and the troops, even though the war wasn't entered into correctly. I believe there were plenty of valid reasons to oust Saddam from power, but not the reasons that were given. I don't think legalizing marijuana is a great idea, but it wouldn't be the downfall of society.
I agree that abortion is wrong (and for all you people who say "well, you don't know unless you experience it" - my first child was aborted without my approval - so shove it!) but making it illegal will create more misery than it cures.
So am I Republican - maybe not but am I a Democrat - nope. I can find a campaign platform "ideal" to make anyone wonder which side they are on. In summation, Make Love - Not War...... Unless the bastards aren't in a loving mood. Thanks, good question.

Republican although I don't support everything all the time. Both major parties contradict on different issues. Liberals stand for ideas that seem conservative and vica versa. I think the whole party thing is messed up and needs to be abolished. Why can't we just vote for the best person for the job? Why do we need parties and conventions? It's all about money and I'm tired of working more than half of each year for the government and having very little left to show for it. There needs to be less government, including local and state! I could really get on my soap box there when it comes to trying to run a small business and having to collect sales tax for each and every little county and city in a state. It's just absolutely ridiculous. But that's another topic for another day. Life is complicated enough!
But I just have to say this. Yesterday I got a survey in the mail from the Republican party saying I had been chosen to represent my area in this survey (yeh right!). But I thought I'd be nice and fill it out and mail it back since the envelope was postage paid. However, at the end they were wanting contributions, and the only 2 choices given were to pick one of their set amounts or check that you could not donate at this time, however you were enclosing $11.00 to cover the cost of tallying the survey!!! Unbelievable!! I think my time was enough. Needless to say I crossed that part off and I'm still sending it back without any money enclosed. Hopefully my point will be made.

I have been in the woods for much to long, and need to return, a democrat is for a democracy , a republican is for a republic , a democracy is the people for the people (that is us and us) a republic is them for them and the people are deemed worthless (REPLACEABLE) pull your head out your ? and look up these words in old books , I am going back in the woods and wait for the big bang God Bless all of you even if there is a brown ring around your neck !
