Karen is awesome. If someone says you sound like her, take it as a compliment.

I once worked with a guy whose natural voice was similar to Mickey Mouse's. He had a good sense of humour about it, so not many people bugged him about it.

People can be mean and you can either give in or smile and Laugh. I'd just go with the later it's useless to get mad and when people start in on you just say " Yes I know I'm practicing for the spinoff if there is one what do you think of this voice is it me?"

It gives you a niche in life. 'Karen' was definitely know for her high pitched voice, as well as a few other assets. I say roll with it and enjoy it. Be unique!

There are groups that can help you with your voice. You can take a community based acting class, where they can coach you on pronunciation, diction, breathing, etc. However, if you are happy with your voice, then just be who you are.
