It gives such people the feelings of power and prestige. Yahoo has created a "game" of sorts, and we play for a variety of reasons. However, I can't help but think that people who are social outcasts in "real" life feel quite important when dozens of people respond to their nonsensical questions.

because it is better than playing a nonsensical game, over and over trying to win and get to another stag with absolutely no benefit, other relaxation. This is relaxing. Doesn't mean your smart or dense. Just engaged in some sort of activity.

And it's commonly believed that there are no stupid (or nonsensical) questions. One is only stupid, who does not ask questions.
