Actually he can easily find out your general location ie: your state just from your IP address which is usually sent along in the header of most e-mails.
So be careful!!!
As technology advances so do the malcontents that use them

Dani, don't give out personal information to anyone on the internet.
If this guy wierds you out, stop e-mailing him.
He probably can't track you down, unless you're dropping clues all over the place. Remember, if one e-mail says "my school", and another one three weeks later says, "so, I was at Jefferson High today..." he can put two and two together and start narrowing down schools.
Don't write anything in an e-mail to this guy that you wouldn't tell a stranger to their face in the bus station late at night.

There are these Internet services that can find anyone for about $10. They work very well in the USA. The companies have vast interactive databases of property titles, phone listings, legal actions etc ad nauseum.

If you told him your name(first and last) or your phone number, yes. He could have your address in a matter of minutes. For free. We had to locate my husbands ex, and all I had was her name. I went through the white pages of 4 states and found her. Took less than 15 minutes. Be careful what you tell people. Luckily, I learned my lesson fast, and although it scared me, the guy was warning me, not a perv.

Did you give him any specific information or anything, such as phone number, email address, home address, IP Address, or name. If you did he will be able to. If you see any suspicious people loitering infront of your house and someone possibly stalking you, pick up the phone and dial "9-1-1"

u made a good decision by telling him that u moved. u cant b too careful these days. i think n e one can b tracked down, but just use ur own intuition if u think somethings not right, get out. if he ever wants to meet u, then make sure its in a public place and make sure u dont go n e where private till ur absolutely sure of him. good luck to you!!!

Highly doubt it. I would suggest not revealing too much about yourself to people on the internet. Its still easy to have a good conversation without revealing every detail about yourself.

probably not, but really, you shouldn't be emailing him anymore!! im not gonna go on and on and on about it, but i know you have heard what can happen in these dangerous types of internet relationships! serioudly, don't reply to his email--it will help you out ALOT in the long run.

Yes, he can. But its extremely hard to. You really need to be an 31337 h4x0rz in ordrer to be able to do that. Unless he really really REALLY wants to, the trouble hew ould have to go through to do it wouldnt be worth it.
