Ancient capital of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, situated some 70 km northeast of Shiraz, Iran, not far from where the small river Pulwar flows into the Kur (Kyrus).

Well... This city is not really heard of anymore, maybe it's still in Iran or West of Afghanistan, but it used to be the capital of the Persian empire during King (or some prefer to call him Sultan) Xerxes's rule. Hope this answers your doubts a little.
