there's no set time, but you both should be sure that you want to spend the rest of your lives together. it's a huge commitment and takes a lot of work to keep a marriage strong. the best thing is to go slow and get to know each other. it would suck if you got married and found out the guy annoyed the s*** out of you! or that he was a total freak..

Fortunately, there is no set time line for this. unfortunately, the heart is not always the best judge either. I am married to a beautiful woman who I met 9 months prior to our wedding, and officially dated for only 4 months. We are happy and expecting our 6th child this year. yes, I said 6th child. We are trying to build a baseball team, I suppose.
Just make sure you have the same beliefs and values. Let God do the rest.

Do you really need a ring on your finger and a piece of paper to tell you that you are married?...It does not matter with or without. You are together you are married in spirit. Man made the rules of marriage because men were getting out of hand. Too many babies and single mother were homeless and so the church got tired of taking them in...and they made the rule of marriage.....Now, you need to get taxes done and some other stuff that's different.
History Channel..Best wishes!
P.S. Just let it happend....

my husband and I are started as friend for about 1 year, until we actually decide to get engaged. We've been married for 5 years now and blessed with one baby girl.
I had a relationship with other guy before I met my hubby. We spent 7 year before we finally split up.
So time cannot tell anything, it is your heart and a tiny voice inside who will help you decide that he/she is the right choice.
Good luck..!

Only your heart knows the answer to this question, but dating for 1 year prior to marriage is a successful figure. Look for Loyality and Committment, and Grace, and Love.

You can't really say a time, but I firmly belive that you should live with the person before you get married...there's too much divorce in this country! Also, DON"T GET PREGNANT!

It depends on the relationship and the maturity of the two people in it. What are you willing to give freely? What are you willing to give up? What are you willing to tolerate?
