I was a step mom. My stepson thought I was mean. But he is grown now and appreciates the things I did for him. I am proud of him and I love him very much.

But when my kids visited their dad, their stepmom really was mean and cruel. Said nasty things and smacked them. I had no control over this situation.

I had a father I lived with. But my mother's husband, I refused to call him a stepfather, he molested me with disgusting kisses. My mom said "Oh, he was drunk, he didnt know what he was doing"
They didnt have a place I could call for help then.

You have protection. You can call the Child Abuse Hotline and they can help you. Talk to them and they maybe can tell you some good ways to be able to live together without arguements.

They have 2 different numbers and I have them both: (US)

1-800-442-0681 OR 1-800-872-5437

And I am very sorry it is this way for you. You dont deserve this.

Can you go to your mom's? Or do you have any older Brother's or Sisters you can go stay with. Or even an Aunt or Uncle? There has to be someone, if not stay with them at lest talk to them. If anything else, just keep bring it up to your Dad. Maybe try talking to a school counselor. Or better yet, ask your Dad if you, him and your Stepmom can all sit down and have a talk. Then maybe you all can work something out.

I am a stepmom to two beautiful girls who are grown. They thought I was the wicked witch of the west then but now they understand more. Hang it there, be sure to treat her with respect if you want the respect back. I know it is hard and keep talking with your dad.

If you are being abused in anyway, get help from someone you trust and do it now. God Bless!

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. You really need to talk to your Dad, just you and him.

Everyone needs their Dad to be a part of their lives, and it sounds as if your step mom might be threatened by your relationship with your Dad. But she needs to grow up.

Tell her you would never be allowed to be rude to her, so she should not be rude to you.

I hope everything gets better for you. Good luck sweetie.
