omg. do you really think the FDA would allow worms to be FRIED with french fries or chips?? you went to a 3rd world country where they probably dont use pesticides and now you suddenly think that this applies to the USA??
get a grip. and a clue. and get over it.

Most foods (vegetables, fruits etc.) grown form the ground ,vines, or on trees will be prone to have worms and bugs get into them, it is just the way things are, that is what pesticides are for and that is what most farmers use, even organic farmers use a natural pesticide. I mean worms have to eat too, the worms you saw were more than likely maggots (fly larvae) and the potatos may have been rotting or had bad spots in them.

I think they taste good. Also worms don't come from potatoes they eat them and might live in them. The big chains can't afford the bad publicity of worms in their fries, so they make sure that tey don't use bad potatoes.

That's ridiculous - potatoes don't MAKE worms, the worms find them because they are both in the dirt

The reason we eat them is because they taste good and we are in denial about the effects. Worms or no worms, they wreck havoc on the body, but taste sooooo good getting there!

Sounds like an old wives' tale. Worms might live inside potatoes, proper cooking will destroy the little beggars, and you are left with free, low cholesterol, protein!

worms don't come from potatoes, and they'll get into whatever they can that grows, apples are the most common example. our potatoes have never had worms, and I think that is an unusual problem.
