That there are no set rules to dictate and insure the best possible outcome of any situation overall. Thus, the best advice is to use the information you have available and make a fully concious decision based on the information that you have available. Even this fails to guarantee success.

this worked for me when i was trying to get a job and went back every day until i got hired! (i really wanted to work there because i could walk there)

T. Boone Pickens, a Texas oil man was asked about his misfortune when the oil business dropped to an all time low in the 80's, what his out look was and he said "things are looking up". The reporter was a bit confused since Mr. Pickens lost millions of dollars, and asked if he could explain. He said "when you are flat of your back, the only way you can look is up."
