get a job you love, or somebody you love worth getting up for.

I used to have that problem too. While school wasnt a big motivating factor to open my eyes for the day, (weird, since I was an A student!) and various jobs werent either, I had to decide what was so important for me to get up everyday?
And I finally got it! What I can do for myself and others for the day was the motivation I needed.
So now, I use two alarm clocks, (one across the room so I HAVE to get up to turn it off) and I focus on what I need to do for the day. I make sure it has some meaning for me. Not like, " I get up, shower, drink caffeine, fight traffic and sit in a cubicle", but rather, " time to get up and get (insert goal here) accomplished.
Whether it is phone a friend I havent seen in a while or make sure that the payments are posted to the correct accounts where I work, what I do affects something or someone else.
So, since I am here on this planet, I might as well do something worthwhile with my time, no matter how small it may seem!
I had to learn to set (reasonable, daily) goals. It works for me and has for 20 years.
I hope you find what works for you- good luck in all things!

Try moving your bed near the place were the sun hits in the morning. Another solution is to set your alarm real loud to your favorite tunes. Last solution that when you wake up decide whether to stay in bed and get fired, or get up make some money and accomplish something.

Sounds like some of your problem is with work, you need to think about that. :) maybe you need to find a job you like better, if you can.

Meanwhile--first, go to bed at a reasonable hour. Most of us are sleep-deprived, and that makes it difficult to get up in the morning. Second, plan to get up with plenty of time, so you can move slowly, eat a good supportive breakfast, and still leave unstressed.

Lots of people find the very early morning is a good time to exercise or meditate. Can you get up an hour earlier and walk? You may just find yourself so jazzed you can't wait to get to work!

I thought that it was the other "getting up" that you were having trouble with. Anyhow, same thing... basically what the guy says about it is just a habit and get something interesting in your life. I am having the same trouble and I know sometimes life can be a drag. But, make the effort and you will find what you need to slove this lazybones thing.

I'm a morning person, but I used to be like you.

What helps me is to go to bed early and then in the morning, just get up and stretch. (No matter how tired you are!!!) After you stretch you should feel more awake. There's always the crazy side too-splash water on your face.

Could be depression or actual medical problem. Might not hurt to discuss it with a doctor.

Sounds like you may be suffering from depression, have you thought about talking to a therapist?
