i think teen pregnancy is a huge deal lately. i think that teens need to realize that sex should not just be about the physical act, but the emotion attached to it; however, it is unlikely to happen so i think that parents and teachers need to realize that teaching abstinence does nothing and that they need to provide the teens with safe sex methods and help to keep pregnancy from happening and stds from being spread

Well I am a teenager and a lot of my issues faced are school, what is happening at home, I will be moving soon. I hide a lot of stuff from my parents and the best way to handle it is just talk to the teenager, go out somwhere like to dinner or have a home cooked meal and ask them how everything it going. I hesitate when my mom asks me but I know she is doing this for a reason.

Another way is open up to the teenager about yourself. And then that will help them ease up on saying what is going on. My mom gives me her opal ring and I have to wear it for a week and after that week is over I tell her one thing that is on my mind such as how I am doing in school.

I hope this helped you. There are other ways but just do what you think is best.

Peer pressure. Peer pressure can lead to lots of different issues drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, racism....the list goes on.

Basically they need to have a strong bond with an adult preferably a parent who they can talk to about these things and sort out the best way to handle each individual situation as it presents itself.

I've seen a lot of good kids do really stupid things because of peer pressure and the fact that they simply want to be accepted and don't know how to stand up for their beliefs and create long lasting friendships.

PRESSURE! the pressure to have sex [with more than one person at that] the pressure to drink, the pressure to do drugs, the pressure to lie, the pressure to cheat, the pressure to be someone that you aren't just so you could fit it with the "it" crowd. this is why teens today are losing their mind and having panic attacks and are dying... it's too much pressure...
