You need to go to the mp3 player manufacturers sight and download the applicable software, then you may need to purchase a cable to connect your mp3 player to the computer. If all else fails, call the mp3 players manufacturer

This depends largely on the brand of player.

For an Apple iPod, for example...

1. Get the music to an MP3 or compatible format onto the computer. You can do this by 'ripping' it from a CD in your CD-ROM drive or downloading the file from any of several sites such as iTunes.com. Park the music in the right place on your computer (see the next step.)

2. Most people will use the program that came with the player, such as iTunes for the iPod. You open the program and find the music files you loaded, then tell the program to transfer the music to the player.

3. Connect the player to the computer with the right cable, and 'sync' the music.
