No.
There is no actual proof that God exists, so they can't possibly prove his/her/its gender. The general concept of God as a he comes from male dominated cultures, where the guys controlled all the stories.

I am firmly convinced God does not have a gender, male or female. I think most of the male quotes are from patriarchal societies.
OK, no proof, but think about it. If God has a gender, it would imply God is incomplete. He would need a Goddess to be complete. But we are Monotheistic, so there is only one God. Therefore God cannot have a gender.
Actually, I look at God as more of a permeating force in the Universe than as a "person:". There is no reason to believe it even has a body, let alone a gender.

Actually, if you research the matter you'll find out that Christian theology doesn't say God is either male or female. Meaning, He's not a man or woman in the way we know the sexes to be. Because what the Bible actually says is that both male and females are created in His image. So, obviously, He's neither just one or the other. In God are found both masculine and feminine attributes.
But, on the other hand, Jesus, who was sent from God, when asked by the disciples to teach them how to pray, He said: pray like this, OUR FATHER..... So as you can see, we have it on good authority that we should refer to God in male terminology. I don't know what your opinion of Jesus is, but for those of us who believe He was sent from God, that's all the reason we need. I'm not saying He was the first to refer to God as male, I just mention Him because He's the ultimate revelation sent from God Himself.

Objectively speaking, no. Neither is there proof that any higher power exists, that there must be strictly one deity, that this deity has gonads, and that this deity is restricted to only one kind of gonads.
If we go the Christian route (which I wouldn't personally), then a male God would make more intuitive sense b/c Jesus is considered the Son of God and, well, the Virgin Mary is presumably a female. But then again, God is supposedly a miracle-worker... *scratches head*

The only "proof" is in the Bible where is says that God made man in his reflection. Other than that, this God, doesn't have any proof. When people worshipped Gods and Goddesses, they had proof. They had sculptures and paintings everywhere. Maybe God could be both. God can take any form can't he? I guess it's just one of those questions we'll find the answer to when we meet 'Him' in person.

No. You refer to a specific Christian god or Muslim god or Jewish god. But there are definitions of god that are not like this. And there are such feminine gods. Why does god have to be male or female anyway? Why does god have to be like a human? There is no proof that there is such a thing as god anyway, only faith.

No! I believe it is pretentious for us to assume that we are "owed" proof of anything concerning God. The Bible is not so much a "history book or science book" as a "what you NEED to know" explanation of a being we can not wholly comprehend! the need to label something as feminine or masculine is our concept not his!

Yes, because God made the first Man (Adam) in his image and created Eve from Adam.
Also, the bible says pray to God by saying "Our Father, Who Arth in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy Kingdom come....."

No! God is a spirit. Jesus was a male, he was god's Son. Why not try reading and studying the bible?

Wow, good question. Well, God is the ultimate entity... so maybe he can't be classified as one or the other... I am NOT saying God is lesbian. I'm just saying he might not be classified as either. And He might be referred to as a he in the Bible because that was just how they wrote.
