Absolutely. You can do it and graduate in 4 years, too, if you're willing to do the work. Double or triple majors are extremely common. My recommendation is to do your major in forensics (since that will be the degree your're more likely to get a career with) and a minor in theatre. Most acting jobs won't actually require any formal training, so taking a minor will help you gain the skills you'll need to be an actor, producer or what have you, while your main degree will be much more career-oriented. Good luck!

This will depend on the institution - but don't let their announced guidelines deter you. Many institutions will make special arrangements for students who come up with a course of study that crosses or transcends department boundaries. So if your goal is, say, to be the most convincing TV detective ever, and a joint major involving forensics and acting is the way you want to approach it, then I'd say give it a shot! Talk to the relevant deans, or the college's Academic Affairs department, tell them what you want to do, and you may be surprised at what they can provide.
(I'm assuming here that by "forensics" you mean forensic science, the CSI stuff - if you meant forensics in the sense of debate, I'd imagine you might well find those subjects handled under the same roof in a Speech and Drama Department, and such a double major or major/minor wouldn't be unusual at all!)

Yes, many people do it all the time. The only thing is that it is going to take serious concentration and focus to maintain. Some people major and minor in some of the toughest areas, so I feel that you can be successful as long as you stay pretty focused on your studies. You probably would want to major or minor in drama, which could help you more with your acting career, and biology/psychology to help with your forensics studies. Whatever you choose, good luck.

Yes, it is very possible to study two different fields in college. Many colleges allow students to have more than one major (usually no more than two, though). I imagine there is a college out there that offers majors in both forensics and acting. Find such a college, and I am sure that you would be able to minor in either one.

You remind me of myself! I came to college wanting to study forensics and fashion design. But it really depends on the school you want to attend. At the university that i attend, I was told that the fashion design program had a set sequence that I couldn't disrupt so I wouldn't be able to fit in classes to obtain my forensics degree, and the minor degree was pretty pointless. You should contact the schools and ask to speak with an academic advisor and they will let you know if you can intertwine the classes for both. Hope this helps and good luck in the future!

yes, depending on how serious you are in either or both for that matter, you can also major in both. I major in two related degrees and was done in 3.5 yrs (I did a quarter of generals at another college prior). Because they were related, they counted towards each others additional credits they want you to take (I forget the term at the moment) to fulfil the degree credit amounts to graduate. So, you may end up going longer if you major in both if unrelated. I don't know much about the forensics degree area-such as how long you have to go (4-6 yrs?)-if it's longer than 4 years, you could probably get two degrees out of it.

yes you could, but i doubt you can do both at the same time. I do not think acting anf forensics would be offered at the same college. Furthermore since the are 2 totally different fields, it will be very difficult to integrate these studies at the same time to obtain a major and minor.

People usually go for related fields when they either take a minor or do a double major. That way, they can knock out some of the same requirements. For example, people major in accounting and then minor in business management or something like that. You could still do it, but it will take at least an extra year.

You can major and minor in anything you want. I am double majoring, which is doing two complete sets of work, in English (with a writing emphasis) and Psychology which are nearly unrelated. The best thing you can do is to go and talk to a counselor, they can sit you down and make a plan. If you didn't want to actually major in acting, you can always take classes because most majors require misc credits to graduate.

You can get a major in one, and minor in something else. They don't have to be related field subjects at all. You could if you really wanted to get a double major too. Its more work, but it is possible. Although if you are applying to grad school, it does help that you at least try getting a minor that compliments your major in some fashion.
