Well I am not a Yankee's fan, but you cannot argue with 26 World Championships. They are what all Major League franchises strive to be in terms of success. There is nothing wrong with "buying" a roster...that would be like saying an employer should pay you the same salary as a janitor, even though you have way more experience and are responsible!:)
And Joe Torre is a hall of fame manager...no doubt.

Die hard Mets fan to say no, the Yankees have a flawed team, like most, but they are clearly one of the five or six best teams in the league.

If by their coach, you mean manager Joe Torre, I think the guy is amazing. The best in the game. What he is doing with that team right now is remarkable given the number of injured players.

You don't get to THE SERIES AND WIN as many times as they have without being the BEST.
Torre is the manager not coach so if he is who you are refering to he rocks!
The best of all time.
Who else could put up with Steinbrenner and still manage an awesome team.No matter who Steinbrenner buys-Torre keeps it about the team not the player.
A-Rod needs to go away.Not worth it.

Well, I'm from Seattle and considering most of our Mariner's are now Yankees; I sure miss Alex Rodriguez (Met him at the Key Arena after a Sonics game); Yeah they S@#$, AND THEY DESERVE IT FLASHING ALL THAT CASH. HEY! I'LL WORK FOR $252MILLION!

Well given that their payroll is 200 million which is 2x as much as anyone else besides the Red Sox...they in theory should be 2x better than anyone else...which they are far from...so yeah in short - THEY SUCK.
