It depends on what you need it for. Each sign has strengths and weakness so they are all supposed to balance out in the "ying and yang" sense give or take a few strokes of luck. Each sign is powerful in its own way.

I think it depends on which sign you are. By best, do you mean most compatible, easiest to get along with, easiest to fall in love with? I am a Gemini, and I don't think gemini is the best sign for all purposes, just for some. You can easily find a Gemini with multiple personalities, if that's your thing. My favorite sign of others is Leo. They are generally easy-going, fun-loving, and sincere friends and lovers.
