I almost hate to ask, but have you done a defrag lately? That's when you go into your Programs\Accessories\Systems Tools on a typical PC. If you can't find it, go to Help and type in defragmentation. Basically, the defragging will combine all the little pieces of information scattered throughout your hard drive and free up extra space. Of course, before you do that, clean out your Temporary Internet Files (again, on a typical PC -- C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files). Then run your anti-spyware and anti-virus programs. Empty out your Recycle bin. In other words, clean up what you can then defrag. If none of that works, you may have just reached the maximum amount of memory you have. Good luck.

Assuming you are using a PC with Windows XP or 2000, open the "Task Manager." You can do this by using the Ctl-Alt-Del keys. Then go to the Performance tab. See how much Memory you are using and the CPU usage. If you are using more memory than is already installed in your computer, add memory. If the CPU usage is 100%, go to the Processes tab and see which process is causing the CPU usage. Stop the process. Then eliminate the program that starts the process.
