Run it and pull the spark plugs as soon as you shut it down. You should find a dry one. That will be the cylinder on which you will want to disassemble the carb and clean all of the gunk out of it. Do not put in fuel treatment crap. It just makes things worse. Something about the 2-cycle oil prevents gas from laquering. But if you drain your fuel system (like they tell you to do) it will cause problems and your carbs will get clogged. After getting this thing back in shape, leave fuel in it year round. The oil will preserve everything. When you get it out for the summer, dispose of your old gas and add some fresh and have fun.

you may have a dead cylinder due to some problem. start with new plugs and then check for spark at each plug. run a compression check, all cylinders should be within 10% of each other. you may have a fuel problem such as a weak pump or a carb issue. if there is a filter either in the tank or line it may be clogged. beyond that it may be time to call in a pro
