I'm at a loss for words, but since you asked... I really do like Whoopi Goldberg. I think she is amazing! She is like a sophisticated female Robin Williams.
I know nothing about her as far as personal gossip goes. I know someone who is a greeter at Walmart who met her and was very impressed with her as a "nice person." I love her movies and, even though she is as irreverent as sin, she seems like a warm person. The best thing is, it doesn't matter if I am wrong. If I get that feeling, then it makes my day brighter to see her.
You ought to at least watch a couple of the movies. Some of my favorites are:

"The Color Purple" and "Jumpin'Jack Flash", are my all time favorites, she's done!! I love the part in Jumpin' Jack Flash, where she's trying to figure out what the heck Mick Jaggar is singing/saying in one of his songs!! Just Halarious!! You'll enjoy that one for sure! Actually all her movies are pretty good. I even like the Nun movies, especially when Loren ___ sang that Christian song, in the Nun, movie. Her singing voice, whoah! That girl's voice could make anyone cry, trust me... Their not doing you any good, letting them sit on a shelf collecting dust!! Trust me! And I think you'll enjoy everything she does! I do!!!!

Jumping Jack Flash almost killed me! For some reason, the sceen with the shredder and her dress cracked me up to the point of not being able to breath.
I also very much enjoyed Ghost. Did you know that she almost didn't get that part because she was too famous, but Swayze said he wouldn't do it without her?

She was really funny. I wouldn't watch that Telephone movie though, very stupid. But, Jumpin Jack Flash was good and she was amazing in The Color Purple.

I love whoopi golberg. Kiss shot, How stella got her groove back (man was the guy in that one hot) Made in America, I can't think of them all.
