Why do most Asians and Hispanics have naturally dark hair?

Because Asians and Hispanics are humans, and most humans have dark hair.

Most Europeans have dark hair.

Most Africans have dark hair.

Most Australians have dark hair.

Most South Americans have dark hair.

Only in a tiny, tiny area of northwestern Europe do we find more than 5% of people having anyhting other than dark hair. And even there MOST POPLE HAVE DARK HAIR.

Less than 2% of all the people on the entire planet have hair that is not dark brown or black. Hispanics and Asians are no different.

Their ancestors lived in a place on earth where the suns energy was/is stronger. Their bodies changed over time to adapt. Dark hair protects ones head from the damaging rays from the sun. This occurs through natural selection, once in a while a gene mutates and is advantageous. More of the people that have this gene survive until only people with this gene exist.

Because Asians and Hispanics normally have more pigment in their genetic coding (DNA) than other races. The reason for the darker pigment in skin and hair is to protect peoples living in sunnier hotter climates from the harmful rays of the sun. It is quite a marvelous natural sun block.

Perhaps the question is, why does anybody, NOT have dark hair!! Actually that may harken back to a need by dwellers of Northern cloudy environments (i.e. Northern Europe) who lacked a dietary source of Vitamin D. Those who could compensate by synthesizing their own thrived (i.e. those w/ much less melanin) & reproduced more successfully, resulting in a population of lighter skin, lighter haired persons. Everywhere else, darker skin & hair wasn't a liability & therefore the trait persisted.
