Don't think of it as losing weight, think of it as gaining beauty. When we are little children, getting big, growing up, is seen as a positive thing. Sometimes this idea sticks in your subconscious, and won't let go without a struggle. Whenever you look at something to eat, ask yourself, "Will this make me more beautiful?" Simply getting skinnier is not enough to motivate many people. Look in the mirror and you will see the special loveliness that is yours alone waiting to come out. Even small changes can make a big difference in your appearance, self-esteem and motivation.
God Bless, dear!

The only person that can loose the weight is YOU, you have to want to loose it, and obviously you don't want it bad enough. Trust me, i have been there. You have to truly want to be healthy which means eating health foods (all the time, not just occasionally), and exercising. This might mean a complete change in your lifestyle, but summertime is the best time to do it. Someone wise once told me to try something for 5 minutes. Then if you don't want to do it anymore, stop, but most likely you'll figure, well im already doing it, i might as well keep going. Because most of the 'motivation' is just (for example exercising) getting work out clothes on and getting outside to go for a walk, but once you have been walking for 5 minutes, then you'll figure, why quit, im already out here. Try it, you can always quit after 5 minutes.

This may sound like a dumb answer, but sometimes when I am feeling very un-motivated about exercise, there are a couple of movies that really put me in the frame of mind to get started. One of them is "Enough" with Jennifer Lopez, watching her get all buffed up to fight off her attacker. Also every time I see the older movie "Terminator 2" with Linda Hamilton, her shoulder and bicep muscles were so defined, I longed to have her arms, watching that alone made me more interested in weight training. Reading other success stories on some of the websites (like Beachbody.com) also inspires me.

Well you could start out by setting a goal like lets say 5 to 10 lbs. and then reward yourself for the effor you put into it. I dont have the motivation to do it either. But i had to keep reminding myself that i needed to loose weight.
You could do this tho. While you watch tv do sum crunches. If you have a dog take em out for a walk. Dance to your favorite music anything just as long as you move. Hope this helps.

Sometimes you just have to force yourself to go for a walk. It gets easier after a while but the first steps are the hardest. Once you've made exercise part of your routine it will be much easier to be motivated. Imagine how much better you'll feel if you get started now. If you can find someone who will go with you all the better.

If you are truly overweight - take off your clothes - all of them, and look in a mirror. Then, buy smaller size awesome outfit that you won't be able to wear unless you lose the weight. Hang it out on your closet door so you see it all day and everyday. You'll be motivated.

beginning is half done, you can't learn motivation and it can't be taught, you have to make it. to do so find a quite place where you won't be disturbed for 15 minutes or so, close your eyes and imagine yourself EXACTLY the way you want to be then once you have that picture go exercise and hold that picture in your mind, the more you do this the more you'll connect the picture in your mind with exercise and the more you'll want to exercise
oh yah when you see yourself in your minds eye the way you WANT to be try and make yourself as overly happy and enthusiastic and emotional about that picture as you can, this will embed that desire even more

i think you need to tap into thinking about who you want to be - how would you feel if you did it? How would you look? Then think about what things are like now... Focus on a small goal, like 5 pounds, and just work toward that.
Success is a great motivator for more success!
Good luck!

The best thing to do is find an activity that you enjoy. It kills two birds with one stone.
I recently won a weight loss bet (you can wager on it also) with my sister just by golfing. Can you believe that? I got paid to golf, lost 22 pounds, and improved my game.

try eating more fruits and vegetables.Don't eat as much fried food.Try to minimize the sizes of your meals.Try dancin' and fun activities that require you to get up and do something.Do an activity you enjoy. Your motivation shoud be "I want to be fit and healthy but a little thinner" or "i want to be 'pleasantly plump'".Good Luck!!!!
