They are taking over society because
1) the American people have become complacent
2) Through the church people have been taught to not question when others make decisions for them
3) Thanks to technology it has become increasingly easy to rig elections and those who would do such a thing would have to be greedy, overtly religious, criminally insane type folks.

Why don't you just ask the question, why play games? George Bush was elected President twice, he is a man of faith and that just galls you doesn't it? Maybe he was elected because of the faith and strong religious beliefs, that should scare you. Why accuse Republicans (that is I'm sure what you are trying to say, in your liberal way), of being criminally insane or taking over "our" society? We are part of this society also. Your question is childish.

Because we have buried our heads in the sand with blinders on, because we believe the "promises" made to get elected. And we do not provide equally opportunity for the other parties to represent their thoughts and ideas. No where in the Constitution do I ever recall a provision for "Partys'" And we a forced to sell our souls to the company store. And most importantly we have been brainwashed
by the government for many, many decades.

A lot of people actually want to be good, moral people... but many don't know that much about government or about religion... so they think that this guy says he "values morals," so he must be a good moral choice... so they vote for him and he wins because ot it...
But I think the majority of people that voted that way, now realize they were tricked... Dealy, Cunningham and Bush show clearly just how moral the conservatives are...

Right or wrong becasue they are strong with a sense of purpose, and are willing to dig in and fight for what they want, not lay back and complain about somebody not doing it for them. they know that to get what they want they may have to "bleed" for it.
I'm not too pleased with the X-right (or the X-left for that matter). Neither position is good for the staady working little guy.

Well he was appointed his first term and cheated and rigged the election for his second. Otherwise we might of had a pretty good four years with Al Gore as president.

Because in todays society, extremes are a part of life. There is no "normal" anymore. Society is being taken over because we don't feel strongly enough to stop it from being taken over! MayMay

Because people these days think that they can 'fix' whatever they think needs fixing these days just because they are given the freedom to do it. Our country isn't perfect, but it's much better than others. If people don't like it, they need to go somewhere else.
