After a full day of tanning i come in, and take a bath, and shave my legs and arms. After I get out I notice I dont have the tan i did before. Can you really lose your tan by shaving after?

Unless you want to shave off your skin. Thats just about the only way, and i don't recommend it

i have noticed the same thing but i dont think you are shaving it off i just think maybe the light differences and stuff or a doctor told me once that for at least a half hour after your out of the sun you are still tanning(like bacon- still cooks for a little while even when out of the pan) so when you take a bath or shower it stops you from tanning.so yeah

Well the top layers of your skin are what get tanned, so when you shave, you do take some dead skin off with it. I know what you're talking about, it happened to me too. It won't be completely gone though, just wait a little while and you'll see it's still mostly there. It was just the dead skin that came off, but it was fried anyways.

Yes! You are not only shaving away your leg hair but also the top layer of tanned skin cells!

It's not like you're peeling away skin, so I doubt it. Maybe your legs and arms are just so hairy they have the appearance of being tan. Just kidding, it's probably because you're inside and the light is different blah blah blah.

They say not to shower for an hour or two after you tan. I'm not sure why I'm guessing because the water cools your skin?

Ok, when I worked at a summer camp I went all summer without shaving and I swear to God when I finally did at the end of the summer, my legs were much lighter than they had been. Much lighter. Very very odd.....
