if you are going to use the Internet in the other room then you can do two thing.

First you can run a cable from that jack to the other room

Second you can setup a wireless router and you will be to connect to that router from anywhere in your house.

You have any question let me know.

Very carefully....LOL. Actually, I had to buy a 50 foot Internet connection and put it up through ceiling across attic and dropped it down in the room for a computer (my son's). I fortunately have a wireless that I use which is soooo much easier.
You might check on the cost of a wireless adapter for your computer and modem, but may be costly.

what do you mean by 'not moving the internet connection'? How do you connect? If you use broadband (cable), then you need a wireless router and wireless card for your PC. That way you can tap into your existing internet connection without moving the modem.
