Okay, so they have multi-millionaire “SUPERSTARS” running around all over the place, BUT the 64 million dollar question is: Do they have a TEAM good enough to win the World Cup? From the looks of their first game it seems me the answer is a resounding NO.

Germany played with a very bad defense.
England didn't convince us.
Argentina won to a newly team in the cup, It doesn't count.
Mexico played excellent but against a nontraditional team.
Italy won a boring game.
France tied.
Brazil was such a lazy team.
Let's wait for Spain later today.
As you can see, these teams which are supposed to win the cup have a non-positive comment.
So, which one is good enough to win?
I hope England gets better but in the end, Brazil is always Brazil.
Remember last cup, It was supposed to lose in the second round and you know the story.

As you suggest, more 10 footballing geniuses than a team...but all it takes is a few seconds of inspired play from a couple of these guys and they will win any game. They are historically slow starters, and typically only do what they feel it will take to get the result...as such they are sometimes on the wrong side of an upset.
I think even the manager recently refered to himself as a 'talent facilitator' rather than a coach !

Brazil will win the world cup because they have a dream team and the first game wasn't bad. What happend is that the other team was to defensively.

I think Brazil will win the World Cup again. They are in my opinion, the best soccer team in the world.

well it is obvious that one of the best if not the best team in the world will not play 100 % in their opening match in the easiest group. but other than that i say that Brazil will get thorough the group and lose in the semi finals but the champion will be ARGENTINA the real number 1 team in the world!!!!!!!!!

They are under a lot of pressure and that will hurt the team. I just wish they manage to score some goals!!!

From what I saw today I would have to say no, however these guys have only to switch on and look out,, they can be beaten but their individual stars will make a difference when it counts.
