Wow, this takes me back. People wore jeans that were very tight at the bottoms(early 90's), keds, colored socks to match your clothes(red socks/red shirt/red hair scrunci), big gold jewelry, diamonds on every finger, swatch watches, acid wash jeans, levi's, Rachel from Friends hair cut, holey jeans, men wore Drakkar and Polo(in the green bottle, lol) cologne, girls wore Liz Claiborne and Lauren perfume, Esprit was big, Guess was huge, bomber jackets......Thanks for the trip down memory road.

Tappered leg jeans and turtlenecks, leggings with oversized sweaters tied in a knot at the waist and big white socks bunched over the leggings. Bangs were in. The flashy colors of the 80s were toned down. Overalls were popular. White Keds too. I wore a lot of friendship bracelets (you know the colorful kinds made of string), also anklets. Watch the Fresh Prince for more ideas.

IN the early 90s grunge was in that was the best it sure beats jeans hanging off your knees. look up pics of kurt cobain I think he and pearl jam where huge in the begining of the short grunge fad that lasted like a few years. some staples of this fad included ripped clothes, and long johns under neath them.

I gre up int he 90s! We wore leggings like the ones that are coming back into style. Jellie sandles whicha are just sandles made out of this gelatin like stuff that sometimes had sparkles in it. We also had acid washed jeans and over sized t shirts tied on the side. High poneytails, bright colors, brightly colored eyeliner, etc.

Look to Marc by Marc Jacobs, he is always the leader in bringing back decades. His Fall 2006 collection is heavily influenced by the 90's: http://www.newyorkmetro.com/fashion/fashionshows/2006/fall/main/newyork/womenrunway/marcbymarcjacobs/

Think grunge and rave.
