it's not the amount of sexual activity that causes hpv, it's having unprotected sex with someone who already has hpv.

No. Only exposure to a partner with HPV. You can be at risk even if you use protection, especially if there are any open wounds on exposed areas. HPV is the most common STD (up to 80% of sexually active women become infected). It is possible to be infected on a person's first sexual encounter. There is a new HPV vaccine. Pap smears help detect for HPV (there are many different strains, some are more dangerous and can lead to cervical cancer).

no. HPV is a virus, that is contagious. too much sexual activity with an entirely healthy person can in no possible way contribute to HPV if the partner is entirely healthy. A virus causes cancer!!!
Let's get those people funding!!!!

it is a virus, and therefore is caught from someone who carries the virus; therefore, the more partners you have, the greater your risk to catch HPV or any other STD. Be safe - respect your body and spirit, and don't take unnecessary risks.
If you are in a monogamous relationship, and both you and your partner have been tested and have no STDs than the quantity of sexual activity is safe -- enjoy!

HPV is spread through skin to skin contact. So if your skin touches someone else's skin who has HPV, you could be exposed to the disease.

HPV is a sexually transmitted disease. If you have protected sex, it is highly unlikely that you will get HPV. Even if you have a lot of sex.

only if you are having sex with someone who has HPV! if having multiple partners please use condoms, but they are certainly not full protection from the tranmission of HPV, which can be present in areas nearby that would not be covered by the condom. there is always abstinence!
