Bluegrass music did not begin in a "Mountain range".
Blue grass musci did not originate in the mountains at all.
Blue grass music began in Kentucky because the farmers and folk had so much grass to cut all the time they talked about being blue because they had to cut grass on Sundays. hence the term blue grass. Thank you,
