Only if God wants you to. The only way to get pregnant while you are on your period is a miracle. When you're on your period, your uterus is contracting and the menstral blood is flowing down. SOO Its VERY hard for the sperm to flow up. Even if the egg gets fertilized, it has to plant itself into NEW menstral blood to actually make you pregnant, and that blood has already come out.

Yes, but it is far less likely than at other times in your cycle (and YOUR cycle may differ from that of others or even from your usual cycle, which can vary due to stress, illness, or other factors)
Menstruation signals the end (or beginning, if you prefer:) of the cycle, when the uterine lining is being shed as waste to refurbish the uterus with a new lining in preparation for, usually about 2 weeks later, a new egg being released and possibly fertilized/implanted.
In general, a woman is most fertile (or ONLY fertile, in most cases) at about the mid-point of her cycle; about 14 days past the beginning of her period and about 14 days before the start of her next one, when she ovulates (releases an egg). This stage is characterized by increased thick mucous/wetness, opening of the cervix, higher body temps, and sometimes minor pain in the area of the ovary releasing the egg that month and/or increased libido.
But sometimes, a woman can ovulate sooner than expected or typical (NOT during menstruation, but perhaps a few to several days after it)
and while the egg lives for only 24 hrs, sperm can live for up to 5 days, and can fertilize an egg released that long ago! You COULD get pregnant from sex you had 5 days ago when you weren't fertile, so you have to allow for that.
In short, unless you know your personal cycle VERY well (as in have kept charts of temp. and cervical/mucous changes for a few to several years) AND are very regular, not terribly wise to risk it unless you are open to pregnancy.
The ONLY certainly "safe"/infertile time in the cycle is after ovulation has been confirmed through temp/cervical checks/other methods (such as OTC ovulation tests) and several extra days have been allowed to pass. (Known as the French Method, and it is about as effective as the pill when followed) Anytime prior to confirmed ovulation plus a min. of 24 hrs carries some degree of risk, however slight. So that amounts to about a week and a half per month of "safe" time.
Unless you are willing and able to monitor your fertiltilty very closely on a daily basis long term, trusting in estimated "safe times" is very risky, imo.

It is very unlikely, but probably not a chance you'd like to take if you are trying to avoid pregnancy. If you are knowledgeable about the duration of your cycle and other physical signs, it is possible to chart your fertile and infertile times to know when you can have unprotected intercourse and when to avoid it. Using this sympto-thermal method is as reliable as using a condom or the pill if you follow all of the rules.

Yes, you definitely still can get pregnant. Just because you are on your period does not mean that you are infertile.

Sperm can actually live in the vagina for a few days, so it is possible. It's not entirely likely, but any time you have unprotected sex you're taking a risk of pregnancy, period or not.

You can get pregnant any day of the month, at any time of day. When a guy ejaculates in you, or his penis gets anywhere near your vagina unprotected, with an erection, you can get pregnant. There are no "safe days" or any safe times. Good Luck!!
