i like bands like KoRn, SOAD, Taking Back Sunday, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Staind, Slipknot, Papa Roach, man i could go on and on and ON! but i am always looking to expand my horizons (and fill my mp3 player) so if there is anyone who knows of some good bands of these types (preferably like, people who speak English) it'd be greatly appreciated!!! >:-[

If I were you I'd check out www.last.fm. What you can do there is put in the name of a band you like and it'll give you dozens of similar artists that you probablly will also like. I personally think it works amazingly well. Give it a shot, you never know what music you'll find.

And whoever reccomended you Morningwood is full of **** hahaha

Audioslave. The Misfits. The Dead Kennedys. Bad Religion. Agent Orange. The States.( A good band I found on myspace) Alice In Chains. Danzig... You should try listening to some blues. It's awesome when you find the kind that you like. I highly recommend the blues.

i would recommend P.O.D, velvet revolver, system of a down, nine inch nails, a perfect circle, crossfade, HIM (HIM is my favorite metal/rock band); they're similiar to linkin park, korn and staind. I would also highly recommend, if you're into more alternative/emo bands, Alkaline trio, the Arctic Monkeys, AFI. if you're interested in a more soft kind of alternative, i would recommend snow patrol(they're my favorite)
