Do you have a certain number of people that gets up in front of everyone else at church and do choreographed songs?

Yes we do. They are amazing. We have the dance team and we have people during church and Youth group who just get up and move around. I think if that's how you praise go ahead. If you feel like God is moving your body then move!!

This is called Liturgical ballet or Praise Dance in our area.It is the art form of ballet, lyrical, and interpretive dance.

Not all religions accept dance in church, but luckily I am a Methodist who had the opportunity to witness through this art form by helping form a group of experienced dancers to dance in area churches upon invitation.

It was highly received by some, and some elders were not as receptive.

If done tastefully with appropriate wardrobe, costuming and props it can be a very heartwarming religious experience.

My church doesn't thankfully. It is quite stupid if you ask me...not really dancing just waving your arms around.
