I have a friend with lots of problems with acne on her face and neck. It started clearing up recently and what she said she had been using was Selsun Blue shampoo. She says it stings pretty bad at first, but it'll bring all the acne to a head real quick and likely prevent any other new ones.

I don't have bad enough acne to try this method myself, so I'd just be using my friend as a source.

Yes. Take a bowl of well hot water, so that there is steam comming up. Take a towel. Put your face above the bowl so that the steam is well blowing on your face. Cover the top of your head with the towel so that no steam escapes. This will help open your pores, and wash out the dirt. Apply cream, and don't touch the acne.

The best remedy, based on research, is to use a sulpher based soap. Wild Oats market carries several. Follow the sulpher soap with a maximum strength benzoyl peroxide to get the acne under control. Several best selling products (like the Jessica Simpson one) use sulpher. Leave the product on your back and chest for several minutes, and on your face for around thirty seconds.

Tried home remedies. It don't work. I finally resorted to going to the doctor about it. He gave me oral meds, tetracycline, Benzoyl 10, and some Retin-A cream. It's too early to tell if it's working but I hate to think I have to take all this for the rest of my life to battle acne.

For a quick overnight fix after you wash your face tonight, use spread a thin layer of toothepaste over your acne and leave it there overnight. It smells good, tingles, and will leave your face in a much better condition in the morning. Just make sure you wash it all off in the morning because dried toothepaste is not attractive! lol

The best and shortest time cure for acne is aspirin. Crush an aspirin, moisten it just a little with water, just to make a paste, dab it on with a cotton ball, give it 5 minutes, then rinse it off. Be prepared to be astonished.

Stop eating cow dairy and wheat (stick with goat or rice milk and oat or rice bread and cereal). Soy won't help you either.

My sister just did this and in 2 weeks the improvement in her skin is truly remarkable - and in 4 weeks you can hardly believe she ever had a problem.

I know this sound gross, but it will help. Try taking the yolk from an egg and apply it to your face. Let it dry. Once it is dried rinse it off. Do this every day until your skin heals.

Wash your face at least twice a day with non-oil based cleanser.
You can try applying aloe vera gel to reduce the acne.
If it's very bad, I suggest you go to a dermatologist.
