I've always heard that puerto rican men are so metrosexual and I've met many of them that trim and shave their legs as well as their facial hair. Sometimes, they even look prettier than a woman!!!

I dont think i would use that word, exactly. Im not an expert on Puerto Rican guys.... just 1, that i can maybe help u. We have lived together 4 about 21/2 yrs he can really annoy the hell out of me sometimes. I will say he does take very good care of himself. Personal hygene, stays up on his haircuts & tapers. Always trimming his facial hair once a week he likes to change the style a little. He takes such good care of his clothes 2 yr old jeans look brand new! His Timberlands get cleaned everytime he wears them, just like his jordans and the million other sneakers he has, I know he dont shave his legs though. Believe me when i tell u sometimes he takes longer to get ready then me cause hes always shining his chain changing a dirty shoelace... its nuts! But i respect him 4 taking care of his things so well. He used to have a bit of a shopping addiction, but things r a little tight so he had to stop for a while. I lived on Ave C and 7th street in Alphabet City in NYC when i was a kid and there was mostly latin residents, Everyone was always so friendly when they knew you were from the neiborhood BBQ's in the summer music it was a great place to be everyone was outside. This of course was b4 they tried to turn it into starbucksland #2 and force everyone out w/ no rent control. anyway.. back to the ? there was one guy, we called "fwa" i don't think its spelled rite i never got the writing to good but it meant f*g, but he was and he was cool w/ it. He's the only one i know that shaved his legs. Pvt. area's is a different story, thats common around the people i know. I am white, and when i was little they all used to get wreck on me cause i dressed all punky w/ the pink purple red hair u name it i had it but it was all love. Now i still dress the same minus the hair and we couldn't look like more opposite. Our friends make fun of both of us. He told me the reason he is like that now is because when he was little he had so little so he learned quick if he messed it up he don't get another. His later odder habits like ironing his boxers and socks and cleaning his sneakers w/ a toothbrush he picked up in prison. He's not a bad guy, He just takes pride in his appearance. I can't ball him out 4 that. But metro, nah- I think of models or whitey stockbrokers when i hear that word. Besides im so sick of hearing it.

Puerto Ricans are beautiful anyway so any kind of grooming will make them close to perfect!! The men are gorgeous!!! I don't think it's metrosexual, it's simply caring about your appearance and personal hygiene.

As a fellow Puerto Rican, I can say that I take very good care of the way I look and feel.
It's MUCH better than skanky, or poor personal hygiene.

Metrosexuals...its probably that terrible freestyle disco or reggeton thats to blame.
