and schools are crumbling

It seems like it’s a class issue, because there are things going on underneath this spectacle of war, and the Bush administration is using it as a distraction for the ills of this country that are being not only ignored but exacerbated.

You got the bull by the horns. He is the worst excuse for a president we have ever had. Repuglicans in general are pond scum, you know one celled animals with no brains.

I am not a huge fan of Bush's spending practices, I do however support the US and Allied forces efforts in eliminating terrorism around the world. Unfortunatly that sort of program does cost money, and that is one of the jobs of the US government is to keep a military and protect its people from invading forces (such as those who were in charge of the deaths on 9-11).

That being said, I mention the job of the US government being military in nature. The job of the US government however is not healthcare. That is a job for the private sector of our nation. If you want healthcare, go find a job which includes healthcare as a benefit of employment, or go pay for your own if you decide to be a business owner on your own. Don't depend on the federal government to do such a thing, it isn't thier job to begin with. The employment rate in the country over all is more than healthy enough to support competition among employers to supply healthcare (or at least partial payment) as a benefit to employees, the open market is a wonderful concept. If we get the government involved we'll end up like Canada, and I know many Canadians acctually come to America to have opperations done because thier healthcare system is so screwed up, they might not recieve the attention they need in order to survive. That is something to think about when desiring such a concept. Besides if you think the way the government runs things now is messed up, why would you want them in charge of your health?

It's not the governments job, if you want that kind of health care system go to Canada. we had this same issue when Clinton was running for president, he didn't do anything either, but he said he was when he ran a second time, and again he did nothing, so the war is not covering up anything. And it will continue even after Bush is out of office. The government would just mess it up anyway, just more bureaucrats getting paid big money for not doing anything.

hmm, well we spend billions of dollars on this war because it costs money, we have to pay for the gas, the troops, and to repair the crap that keeps exploding, now is this really neccesary to spend that money. yes it was justified, i know troops that found the chemical weapons, ive seen the mass graves in pictures, we stopped the worst guy now we have to finish cause we aint no quitters ok thats answer for the first question

now on to question number 2. The reason 45 million dont have health insurance is they chose not to. by this i mean they chose not to get a job that pays for their insurance, chose not to pay for the company insurance or if they flat out decided not to buy the insurance on their own. its risky but its their choice, you have the freedom to choose how you spend your earnings, but what about the poor, those folks on welfare, well lets see they get taken care of by the government if they are poor enough or disabled. Health insurance to the abled isnt a right its a choice. I have been offered jobs that pay twice my current salary but without medical benefits and retirement and such and i turned them down because i only choose jobs that offer me a benefits package and pay well enough to take care of my bills.

Now I am not cold hearted in your last statement i do agree, throwing immigration, gay marriage, abortion, flag burning out there as issues is ridiculous but unfortunately both parties do that crap, it would be nice if our government did their job and took care of the misfortunate, kept the education system running properly, which btw is a state issue not a federal issue, the federal govt says you gotta educate your children and told the states to pay for it and administer it. there is actually very few federal tax dollars in education.

I want to start out by saying I don't like the name Bush. Everytime their has been a Bush in office there has been conflict and war in the middle east. I think that its great that our government decided to help with their freedom and what not. But I also think that bush should be taking care of the ongoing issues in the U.S. Such as: The HOMELESS and The VIOLENCE AGAINST THEM, The VIOLENCE that is going on in SCHOOL'S, SOCIAL SERVICE programs such as FOSTER CARE and CPS, as well as Living expenses in the matter of GASOLINE to get you back and forth to work, if you think about it, someone who makes minnimum wage has to WORK ALMOST 30 MIN TO PAY FOR 1 GALLON OF GAS and at the same time pay to keep a roof over their head and food in their stomachs. I am fortunate that I don't make minnimum wage. I also feel that the us needs better healthcare. It doesn't have to be free but it should be affordable. I recently looked into healthcare plans because I am self-employed and for a family of 4 just for medical coverage excluding visits to a counselor or psychologist cost's around $600.00 + a month and that doesn't include dental. so it's not exactly about the job it has to do with your living situation. for me that is expensive and no as of right now I don't have medical because I have my children to take care of and a mortgage, car payment, car insurance, food, and utilities to pay and I would rather have my family taken care of then to put myself in the hole to pay for medical because on top of the $600.00+ a month I would still have to pay for 20% of the bill.

Ask George Bush and the whole group of self-centered people he surrounds himself with. He seems to think it is more important to help the whole world, and not our own people. He has enough money that he doesn't have to worry about anything.
Our government was in the black when he took office, we are so far in the red now that is will take YEARS to get out of debt. He has gone wild with a credit card, and all of us will have to pay it. He keeps giving tax breaks to the rich.

Because defense is an inevitable expense that must be factored in to the budget.

Amazing how health insurance became everyone's birthright. The Founding Fathers are turning in their graves at the debacle politicians have created. It has only just begun.

Because 45 million people don't have a good enough job. And that number includes people who do have a job, but don't buy it themselves (maybe they still can't afford it, so they still don't have a good enough job). Maybe it should just be like welfare, or Canada where everyone pays for it somehow, but their healthcare system stinks.
