Let me give you history on myself. I am African American & for the last 11 years, I have been told by friends and family, that when we are out in public (like a grocery store or Walmart/Target) that other women stare at me.
I never noticed this because I don't stare at other women. At one point, I was walking thru the mall with my male cousin and when we walked past this girl, he stopped her and asked her if she knew me because she was staring at me like she knew me.
For about the past 5 years, I have now began to realize that my family & friends are right. I will be out shopping, minding my own & I will look up to find another female staring at me. Some turn away when I catch them, others don't.
I don't walk with a limp, I don't have a second nose or anything weird. Why do they stare?
I will describe myself. I'm light skinned, my hair is a little shorter than Beyonce's (mine is real), some people think I'm mixed, but I'm not. Black & proud. Nothing special about me. Not ugly.

I don't think I look like anyone (celebrity) and the girls who I see staring at me don't look approachable for me to go up to them and say why were you staring at me. They seem like if I did that, they would get defensive and lie about it.

maybe you have that special glow of confidence that catch their attention..or you look like someone they know..dont let it bother you just smile and say hello..some will let you know why they were staring....I get the stares all the time and people usually say i just love your complexion or you look like someone i know..you get to meet quite a few people and they remember your smile...enjoy the stares..

Usually when I look at another woman, it's because she does look better than me on some area of her body and then I tell myself, "Dang!! why does she get to look like that and I have to look like this?" then I say to myself, "You need to get with it girl and start a work out plan or somethin". So it is probably the same reason the previous people told you. You must be pretty.

maybe cause your pretty? maybe they trying to figure out if you mixed or not?.. beauty and curiosity :)
my friends would always catch people staring at me and tell me the same thing, but i was always oblivious too... some people ask me if I'm Mexican and other just ask me what I'm mixed with

They might think you look like a celebrity, or they are just jealous of how pretty you are?? That's all I can think of, do you think you look like a celebrity?

Maybe they think you are beautiful. I tend to stare at everyone when i go places. Just habit.

There must be something different about you. I don't stare at people so I don't know why they might be doing this.

Seriously, I would guess that you must be really pretty. Or maybe they think you look like someone (a celebrity perhaps?).

well this one is really hard to answer because i would have to see u personally.. but I always say some women just have that wow demeanor about them its some thing your born with I say you can't imitate it or duplicate it it's just some thing you have in your vibe that their trying to figure out...

Im light skin, size 3, double dds, and have hazel eyes, If women stare at me I dont know because Im not walking around waiting for people to stare. You probably just are paranoid and want women to stare. Maybe its cuz your FAT

They think you're pretty and may be a little jealous. Shrug it off.
