My experience has been if you change all your bed linens once a week, it should be enough, that is if you shower before bed. If not, twice per week.

I agree with Sherry B - you must change your pillowcase weekly
especially if you have allergies. Dust mites hide in your sheets -
you should also vaccuum your mattress because those little
suckers are nasty. Especially if you have a pet, like me, I have
a cat and I have to change my sheets to be rid of the dander.

It's just good common sense. Anyone who changes their sheets or pillowcases every 6 months is not clean in my opinion. :(

Most health officials agree that sheets and pillow cases should be changed and washed once a week unless they are heavily soiled and then you should do it more often.

Weekly when changing the rest of your bed sheets, unless it gets particularly soiled before then. I have oily skin, so I change mine about every three days.

If it starts to smell (like perspiration) you change it. We usually can use ours for a couple weeks.
